Jarrell Eddie is one of the top prospects in the 2010 class. Coming into his freshman season some high major publications including rivals had Eddie ranked the #1 prospect in the class. Eddie currently attends the Cannon School in Concord, NC, is 6′6 and plays power forward but is capable of playing the wing. Jarrell has had made a name for himself with his impressive scoring and rebounding figures. At the 14 and under AAU state championships in NC. Eddie’s United Celtics lost in the consolation game to a talent laden D1 Sports team 57-65. Nonetheless the talented youngster paced his club with 16 points and 13 boards.
Eddie remains in contention for a 5 star rating, however over the past year his stock has declined. Yet the talented tweener is firmly a high caliber prospect in the class. Although it is early in Eddie’s recruiting process he has developed a list of favorites: Clemson, Kentucky, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. The budding star has been on the Demon Deacon campus at least once.
In the end the question is: Will Eddie grow into a legit power forward or will he have to adjust his game and be more wing oriented? Either way Eddie will remain a high major prospect with huge potential.
