UK Really Needs Lance Stephenson!

Agent Blue in Radcliff, 6/14/08 - Players like him are so hard to nab. If UK could land him it would give us recruiting legitimacy on the national level once again. The talent laden north east is consistently producing some of the top players in the nation. Coach Pitino has been reaping the benefits of New Jersey and New Yorkfor too long! Getting the likes of Derrick Character, Earl Clark, Egar Sosa, Samuardo Samuels. The buck stops here damn it!  If NYC and NJ  are a 20 foot tall gate, that is locked, then Stephenson is our key. The time is now, for the staff to march north, to the promised land!

Whys it such a big deal for college players to get paid to play ball. If I am correct they can’t get a job to pay for anything. They dont need to get paid a lot or anything. Hell, theres no telling how much these kids bring into the colleges they represent any way. They just need to set a certain amount per year you are a player or even a flat amount to help these kids.

 

Think about it, how many kids you think leave for money, granted the NBA pays more but every bit helps. This will also lower the “benifactors” that pass money on to players. It could eliminate NCAA sanctions and even keep kids in college longer, thus making the colleges more money any how.

 

College if rough on the pocket book for most people, why not make it a little easier for some?

Tyreke Evans

On April 27, 2008 Tyerke Evans, decided to play for the Memphis Tigers. This top Shooting Guard out of PA. has made his decision. There were several major factors in making the choice. The most obvious is NBA exposure, but one lesser known factor is the  homicide to Evans cousin back in PA. Evans has even been quoted “He wanted to go to Villanova because it was his home” and even met with Coach Jay Wright. 
 

In July 2007, Evans dropped Florida and Georgia Tech from his list of suitors. Evans’would go on to visit five schools before he made a decision: Louisville, Villanova, Texas, Memphis and Connecticut. Unfortunatly the beast of a shooting guard chose Memphis.   

The question many may pose is “Did RickyP blow his chances by spending too much time on Evans 
and wear out his welcome?” Louisville has dedicated a lot of time into Evans since he was thirteen. The second question is Does it matter?” With Lousiville having one of the best rcruiting classes in the nation with Samardo Samuels in themix, Louisville Fans should be convinced they are in good hands.
